A trial just completed confirms the high performance of the new perennial ryegrass, 24Seven.
The National Forage Variety Trial (NFVT) group recently completed a trial to compare the performance of perennial ryegrasses at Woodlands in Southland. The trial was planted in 2014 and independently measured and analysed.
The results show that 24Seven was equal top performer for yield over the period of the trial, and had better yield than 14 of the other cultivars tested. 24Seven is a diploid perennial ryegrass with a very late heading date with excellent winter and spring growth, and high feed quality. The high tiller density means it is a persistent grass under many farm systems.
Farmers can choose 24Seven as their preferred perennial ryegrass with complete confidence that there is nothing better.
